Art Division IT staffing currently stands at 7.025 FTE hard-funded, 0.5 FTE soft-funded, and 0.75 FTE student employees (also soft-funded). One position, the Administrative Systems Specialist, is currently unfilled and likely to remain so. One position, the DANM Technical Specialist, is new; recruiting will begin shortly. This will bring the hard-funded staff FTE level to 7.85.
It is important to note that, without exception, all IT staff in the Arts Division have a background in the arts. Most are currently practicing musicians, filmmakers, artists, or theater personnel. It is difficult, if not impossible, to perform these jobs without such a background.
