  This class is designed to produce audio and video content for a variety of Film and Digital Media ventures. Students enrolled in the course will be producing short content segments. Students will be working independently throughout the quarter on various assignments—shooting footage, organizing media, and submitting “selects” to a specified server.
   
 
MATERIALS
 

Students will be provided with the following equipment:
(1) Sony HMC 150—with microphone and tripod
Hard Drives for media storage


Students will be provided with access to the following faciltiies:
24 hour access to Communications Building
Studio B (by reservation)
Comm 11 computer lab
Comm 118 storage/photo studio
Comm Transfer room

   
 

ASSIGNMENTS

   Students will be providing content and producing short pieces
You will be expected to screen footage each week. As this class is equivalent to a 5 credit production class, I expect that you will be working 10-12 hours a week outside of our class meeting
   
  REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING CREDIT
   • Attendance is mandatory; punctuality is required. Two unexcused absences, excessive lateness,and/or excessive absences at screenings will result in a NO PASS
  • You are expected to inform the Instructor of any emergency situations that require your absence from class
  • You will be shooting in 720 30p
  You are expected to work independently, completing your assigned projects
  You are expected to collaborate and communicate with your fellow classmates
  • Respectful trearment of the equipment and each other is mandatory!
