Parallèle Ensemble

The California Parallèle Ensemble was founded in 1994 by Artistic Director Nicole Paiement and comprises musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2001, the Parallèle Ensemble has taken residency at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The professional ensemble focuses on the performance of contemporary music and lesser-known works of all periods. Under Paiement's baton, the Ensemble has completed many CD recordings including music by Lou Harrison (three CDs), Germaine Tailleferre (2 CDs), Claude Debussy, and Henry Cowell.
