Born in Monte Grande, Argentina, she received a B. F. A. in Theater Arts from Santa Clara University and an M.F.A. in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. Ms. Martins is currently a Lecturing Professor of Modern Dance at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has also been a guest artist at the University of Utah, The University of Minnesota, and Arizona State University, and at Stanford University. Ms. Martins has been commissioned to choreograph for the repertory dance companies of the University of Utah and McAllister College in Minneapolis. She has also created several dance works at UC Santa Cruz and for Theater Artaud's Summertime Dance Series. Ms. Martins has been a panelist for the California Arts Council and the Santa Cruz Cultural Council. |
