"Like my dance, I try to express spirituality in my paintings. I like abstractions because they open more possibilities for the observer to interpret. I am currently experimenting with choreographing dance pieces related to the paintings." Mel Wong received an M.F.A. in the Visual Arts and the Catherine Morgan Trefethen Fellowship in Art. His paintings and sculpture have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the nation.
