real-time interaction via the internet during Brain Opera performances. internet participants were able to add and manipulate sounds during live Brain Opera performances using and interactive interface. This interface allowed participants to manipulate a "physical" system. animated words and images represented nodes in the system. each "node" exhibited behaviors and tendencies. A participant was able to perturb the system - or disturb its natural tendencies by selecting and moving the nodes. this interface was displayed live on the center screen during the beginning of the third movement of the Brain Opera performance. sounds were activated when nodes were selected.
