Comfort Objects, 2003 mixed media place of birth: Truckee, Ca year of birth: 1981 This series is an exploration of form and function. Simply, it is a display of alternate resolutions to tools that massage the body. The objects, however, move beyond pure functionality. Through a modest experimentation in form, texture, and color, the manual and electric devices provoke natural and learned associations. Though they have a fixed physical objective, their implications are meant to be ambiguous. The result is a line of Comfort Objects that are designed for curiosity, for play, and for use.
