Karlton Hester's most recent project is the Living Encyclopedia of Global African Music (LEGAM). LEGAM, an online publication hosted by African American Innovators (www.aainnovators.com), is an international, trans-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, online encyclopedia dedicated to Global African Music and Arts. Its socio-cultural context focuses on topics relating to the music history, music theory, the arts and sciences, religion and spirituality, and topics extending beyond limits of traditional categories that usually form the boundaries of music theory. Its structure is based on the 12 chronological chapters of Hester's history publication
